Kurt works as a mobile handyman at the new Exeter Schools PFI contract and was awarded a Star of the Month for his dedication during the mobilisation.
All the school catering areas were rebranded using “The Social” by Sodexo offer and during the switch over the fitting teams were under both time and some capability pressures. In essence no one could hang the wallpaper required, let alone in time for the rebranding at both West Exe and St James’ Schools.
Kurt noticed this and stepped in, volunteering to help with both the wall papering and painting. “This allowed the fitting teams to complete the refurbishment on time and, more importantly, allowed us to be ready for some high profile visitors,” said contract director Stuart Hough, who nominated Kurt.
“Kurt’s contribution in relation to all of the Sodexo values has been a significant one and he deserves this Star of the Month,” added Stuart.
