Sodexo held its annual Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation Dinner on 27 February, and once again it was a fantastic evening and a huge success – raising over £180,000 on the night.

Over 460 people attended the event, which was held at The Dorchester hotel in London and is a celebration shared with many of Sodexo’s key suppliers and partner organisations.

All the money raised will support charities including the Trussell Trust, FareShare and Magic Breakfast, reaching thousands of people in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the UK and Ireland.

Highlights of the evening included a moving speech from Hugh McNeill, a previous food bank recipient who is now Trussell Trust’s Coventry food bank manager, demonstrating the powerful legacy our partner charities can have across the country.

The night also showcased our new partnership with Incredible Edible, working with Sodexo across our sites in Greater Manchester and the wider community to deliver a lasting impact around sustainable and healthy eating.


As ever, a key part of the night’s agenda was to honour some of the top fundraisers around the Sodexo business and we’re delighted to announce this year’s winners were:

  • Charity Champion Award

          Mark Welshman, Audit and Compliance Manager, Government Services

  • Most Innovative Fundraising Idea

          Tim Wright, Head of Asset Management, Integrator, Defence

  • Volunteering Award

          Sarah Masson, Communication Manager, Energy and Resources

  • Stop Hunger Day Initiative Award

          Rezki Karar, Account Support Manager
