open to all Sodexo employees who are responsible for children, not just women!

Did you know Sodexo has just launched a brand new service to support working parents and carers?

We know there are thousands of you out there and now there’s a dedicated Facebook group you can join which is designed to help navigate the sometimes complex nature of things such as child care vouchers, flexible working requests and parental and adoption leave.

It’s open to all Sodexo employees who are responsible for children, not just women!

Where did the idea come from?

Last summer, three employees – Lucy Lawrence, Sarah Kinrade and Liz Marlow – approached the D&I team with the idea of creating a Facebook group for working parents and carers. They ran the group as a pilot initially and now, after some very positive feedback, the group is becoming a permanent fixture.

Who will it help?

The group is of most benefit to new parents, soon to be parents and carers of children, as it aims to provide a great source of need-to-know information. It’s also aimed at parents who are just coming back to work, as it’s also designed to support career development for returnees.

However, it’s a nice community for anyone who is a parent or carer of children already, as their experience is invaluable to others.

How do I join?

You can join the Facebook group here, or look up Sodexo Working Parents on Facebook.

To find out more about the origins of the group and its founders, listen to the podcast.

Help us to improve the lives of working parents at Sodexo

If you are about to go on parental/adoption leave, or if you are on parental leave right now or have been back less than a year, we’d really appreciate you completing this short survey.

It’s completely anonymous and the group admins will use the data to improve the working lives of employees who are starting a family.

Complete the survey.
