Sodexo has published its second Public Service Pledge, a strategic and ethical set of commitments to its customers, employees and communities.
The Pledge identifies key public service areas and initiatives we promise to measure and report on annually to demonstrate our commitment to social value and a public service ethos.
The Public Service Pledge covers the following areas: transparency, business integrity and loyalty; sustainability and community; people, skills and equal opportunity.
Some of the targets outlined include:
Increasing our SME spend to 32% of total spend by 2025
Increasing female representation in management to 40% by 2025
Employing 40 ex-offenders and 200 ex-services personnel this year
Doubling the number of employees volunteering in the coming year.
There are 17 points in the Pledge in total and Sodexo will ensure it is driving ethical values across all services throughout the business – in both the private and public sector – in order to make a positive long-term impact.
