Two Sodexo employees have proved to be among the industry’s best after taking top spots at the Craft Guild of Chefs awards, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 4 June.
Stephen Frost, Sodexo Sports & Leisure divisional director for Scotland, won the People’s Choice Award and David Ward, Sodexo development chef (Scotland), won the Contract Catering Award.
Stephen Frost was shortlisted for the People’s Choice Award and won after a public vote. He supports the entire Scotland portfolio of sports, leisure, workplace and events dining operations and is the key creative force when it comes to devising memorable menus for some of the most exclusive venues and events in the country: from weddings and corporate dinners to hospitality planning for high-profile, public events, such as The Open Golf Championship and RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
David Ward oversees Sodexo’s food services across Scotland. He is committed to developing others and has built many positive relationships with suppliers in Scotland to bring products of local provenance into Sodexo’s menus.
Coincidentally, when David joined Sodexo 11 years ago as executive chef at Hampden Park, none other than Stephen Frost interviewed him for the job!We’re extremely proud of both Stephen and David, well done to both.
