Colleagues in Ireland might have seen some familiar faces on their TV screens last week!
The popular RTE Nationwide programme broadcast a special feature about The King’s Hospital School’s 350th anniversary where Sodexo provide catering services.
The programme was celebrating the rich history of The King’s Hospital School, which is a famous private co-ed day and boarding school in Dublin with many famous alumni, including current Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Leo Varadkar.
The TV film crew were particularly impressed with the high quality of the food served and prepared by Sodexo, and how the team manages to serve over 1,000 meals per day. That's a lot of mouths!
The programme included footage of the Sodexo team serving lunch to students, while presenter Anne Cassin spoke to business manager Sean Meagher, account manager Demot Moloney and head chef John Doyle. Anne even donned a uniform and helped with the food service!

Dermot Moloney, account manager for King’s Hospital School, said: “Sodexo has a relatively new partnership with The King’s Hospital School so we were delighted that the team was featured in this celebratory programme. RTE Nationwide is hugely popular in Ireland so it was great exposure for Sodexo’s services, especially because school dining halls are the exception rather than the norm in Ireland, so it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our catering expertise.”
Well done to the team at The King’s Hospital School for leaving the crew with a lasting impression!
