On Wednesday 11 December 2019, Sodexo welcomed 174 colleagues to Liverpool for this year’s Long Service Awards. The Long Service Awards is our opportunity to recognise and celebrate the loyalty and service of colleagues marking 20, 30, 40 and 50 year work anniversaries with Sodexo – with this year’s remarkable recipients clocking up a remarkable 7,500 years between them!
Attendees started the day with a lunch reception and photos with Sean Haley, Regional Chair UK and Ireland, and Sarah Perry, Human Resources Director UK and Ireland, at the majestic St George’s Hall, before heading into Liverpool for a programme of activities including free-time for sightseeing and visits to some of the city’s finest attractions, including the Merseyside Maritime Museum, The Beatles Story, and the Tate Liverpool.

For the evening, our Long Service Award recipients headed to the ACC Liverpool – a venue within our Sports & Leisure portfolio, following the acquisition and successful integration of Centerplate earlier this year – where they were treated to a fantastic gala dinner, complete with acrobatic performances, a live band and dancing.
Sean Haley, Regional Chair, Sodexo UK & Ireland said:
“Our people are vital to the success of our business, and I am humbled by the loyalty and hard work of everyone celebrating a major work anniversary at our 2019 Long Service Awards in Liverpool.
“Their dedication has been central to helping Sodexo grow over the years, and they fully deserve recognition for their work in improving the quality of life for our employees, our clients and the communities we serve.”
