The Sodexo employee lottery, Your Lucky Number, has been awarding weekly prizes to colleagues across the UK and Ireland since January 2018.
Over 4,000 Sodexo employees enter the prize draw every week for just £1, with an opportunity to win three prizes from a fund of £1,550.
On 23 March 2020 , Region Chair Sean Haley was randomly drawn for the top prize – winning a huge £1,200!
As a Stop Hunger trustee, Sean decided to donate his winnings to two different charities as a way of continuing his support, but also to help them through this difficult time as the third sector is placed under even more pressure to support those most at risk in society, owing to the impact of the Coronavirus outbreak.
Sean has donated the cash to the Springboard charity, and a holiday sports club at Hovingham Primary School in Leeds, where he recently volunteered.

In February 2020, Sean spent time at the school with Stop Hunger, volunteering his time to help register children, assist coaches, distribute lunches and assist with clearing up. Sean wanted to share his winnings to continue supporting their work with some of the most vulnerable children within the local community.

The second charity, Springboard, which aims to support individuals from all backgrounds into employment within the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries. If you would like to find out more about Springboard, please click here.
