This week, our message from our Ambassador, Matt Dawson, to our Hidden Heroes is a day early in anticipation of the nation’s celebrations of the 75th anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day on Friday 8 May 2020.

In light of that historic milestone, this week we are saying thank you to the Hidden Heroes in our business who have been mobilised to support the Armed Forces through their roles as military Reservists, and also some of our other emergency services volunteers.

Watch this week’s video message from Matt below:

Raise a glass to celebrate VE Day and raise money for SSAFA!

While the VE Day 75 celebrations might be more socially-distanced than originally planned, you can still join in with the nation’s thank you and help the Armed Forces charity, SSAFA, at the same time.

At 3:00pm on Friday 8 May, raise a glass to join in with ‘The Nation’s Toast to the Heroes of World War Two’ and make a donation to SSAFA so that they can continue their support of the military, their families and veterans.

Don’t forget to share pictures of your toasts using the hashtags #SSAFA and #VEDay75Official on social media!

And remember, if you want to share your story about your Hidden Heroes, you can complete this Your_Sodexo form and you might feature in a future thank you message from Matt!
