Recognising your Hidden Heroes

We all know a Hidden Hero; a colleague who consistently goes above and beyond to deliver client services. They challenge with humility to innovate and improve ways of working, and clearly demonstrate Sodexo’s values every day even during times of crisis.
Over the past 2 months, on our internal communication channels we have been saying thank you to the Hidden Heroes who have been critical in supporting Sodexo, each other and our clients through the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. You can find these messages of support on Your_Sodexo.
As we continue to work together to rise again and stop the spread of Covid-19, we all have a responsibility to recognise each other’s contributions and celebrate Sodexo’s Hidden Heroes.
Here’s how Sodexo can help you recognise those who are making a difference:

Share the story with Sodexo – tell us and everyone about them! There are numerous ways you can tell others about a Hidden Hero’s triumphs, including contacting Corporate Communications with the good news or submiting a story by the form here. You never know, they could star in a future edition of Hidden Heroes!

Recognise and reward – use Recognising You to say thank you. Choose a postcard, write your personal message and click send; it’s as simple as that! Both the person you’re recognising and their manager will receive the message you send. Managers can also reward their teams by sending Recognising You points through the system. Points can now be redeemed as e-codes so you can spend them safely online at your favourite shops.

Award the best – keep an eye out for internal and external recognition opportunities. Awards and certifications are a great way to keep your colleagues engaged with priority activities and showcase their talents. Tell your teams – if you know someone is a Hidden Hero, use them as an example to lead the way. Why not mention their achievements at your next team meeting or talk about them in a huddle? Letting others know is a great opportunity for your colleagues to learn from their best practice and share important skills.
