Congratulations to Nixie Turner who swam, cycled and ran her way to a bronze medal at the Bloodwise Blenheim Palace Triathlon in June.
Nixie has just joined the company after a successful period working on a casual basis with the clubhouse team at the David Ross Sports Village contract at the University of Nottingham. She will now be working in a part-time role that fits around her busy training schedule.
Nixie (pictured right) came third in the junior elite race and finished eleventh in the overall women's race in a strong field which included Beth Potter who represented Great Britain at the Rio 2016 Olympics. She also received a medal from Sodexo's Healthcare initiative, Sodexo Running, which raises money for the Stop Hunger Foundation.
She then followed up on her success at the Blenheim Palace Triathlon by competing at the recent Leeds Triathlon where Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee and his silver-medallist brother Jonathan came first and second in the men's elite race.
With Nixie mixing it in such esteemed company, it seems she's set for a bright future in the sport!
