Sodexo's team at Tillery Valley Foods raised £1,000 for Stop Hunger when they hosted a family fun day at The Foundry club in Abertillery.

Product development manager, Fiona Wilcock, organised the event which featured live music, face painting, a cake sale and a variety of classic family games, including 'hook the duck'.

“It was a good fun day,” said Fiona. “It was all about engaging with the community and helping everybody to raise money for a good cause. But it was also about team building and getting everybody involved.”

Fiona received plenty of support from colleagues at. Among them were development chef David Humphrey who cooked up a barbecue, while commercial and customer service manager Michelle Brown supervised a 'splat the rat' game built by Sodexo's engineering team.

The day’s music was provided by the Abertillery Brass Band, who recently came third in the National Brass Band Championships.

Great event, great total – well done all.
