A talkative hygiene operative at Tillery Valley completed an eight-hour shift in silence as part of the team's fundraising efforts which raised £383 for Children in Need.
Daniel Wiltshire's sponsored silence contributed an impressive £243 to the total and he had to overcome the attempts of colleagues to get him talking.
“It was a great achievement and everyone said I wouldn’t do it - and I proved them all wrong!” said Daniel. “I need a bigger challenge for next year.”
Other fundraising activities included a bacon butty and chocolate muffin sale which raised £100 and and a duck race which raised another £40.
